i need to know for a paper..so i need to know what act and scene does hamlet find out his father was murdered by Claudius

Yes i have read the play...fully through :] and i did like it i just couldnt find this particular part

Key question as Hamlet behaves as though he doesn't know for sure. One of the sources of his indecisiveness. The ghost tells him In Act I, Scene v, but it really isn't until he sees Claudius's reaction to "The Mousetrap" that he knows for sure. Act III, Scene ii.
But then again, you will read the play, right?

Read the play, there's no point missing out on one of the masterpieces of world literature.
Oh, and by the way, he sees his father's ghost in one act, but it is only when he sees Claudius' reaction to the play he stages in another act does he realise that the ghost spoke the truth, and was not just a symptom of his madness. Or was it? Seriously, read the play, or watch a film version, the Olivier version is as good as any.

I don't remember, but isn't when the ghost appears to Hamlet and tells him, in Act I, scene 3. He tells Hamlet that a serpent sting him and the serpent now wears his crown.

You have not read the play you big liar! it's like one of the very first things that happens if you'd read it you would know. Sheesh. it's Act 1 scene 5 line 25. next time do your own homework.

i think it was probably ACT 1 Scene 2 or something like that.
