I don't. Because it could all end any moment. I don't know how. But life as we know it just could.
What about you?

Kind of scary, but true, as far as I think.

The future never arrives because when it does it is the present. Many of us spend so much time worrying about the future that we forget to enjoy the here and now. Be here now.

Masha,

You have to enjoy the present moment because as you said tomorrow you can die of an accident or natural causes. But what if you are going to die at age 95?? Then you better save some money because your retirement won't bring you much. You surely don't want to end up poor and old. So that's the dilema living the present moment at 100% like artist , writers etc.. or planning your future for better moments.

Joe.

You're right, in thinking that "it could all end" at any moment.

But what if it doesn't? Are you going to spend the rest of your life worrying about whether or not the next minute is coming or not? That's a LONG and PARANOID way to live.

Go and live your life, pray for the best, and prepare for the worst. If the world ends tomorrow, there's nothing you can do about it anyways.

I believe in the future because if life ended, time would still be passing and that would still be the future.

There does not seem to be much to look forward to. On the other hand you never know what might happen. We could be visited by aliens or something like that and our whole way of thinking could be changed.

I believe in my future. How long that future lasts is irrelevant. It's your mindset about the time that you do have that is the most crucial & it's that mindset that can give anyone a future worth believing in.

Even if it ended...it would still be the future...and even if your time and your existence ended...time, itself would continue...so whether you believe in the future or not...it is irrelevant...the universe does not care about your opinion in the matter.

Well God said when he returns he is going to destroy the earth with fire. Well, looks to me like global warming is a precursor and the nukes are on line and on the ready. Sounds like it's all winding up. But if you don't believe the bible then don't sweat it. I believe.

I live for my present and just hope for the future, it keeps me going when I have something to look forward to.

There is a future for everyone, unless you die. So it would only make sense to believe in it.
