Only if he has a suite jacket over it. But if there is no jacket, it does not look right to tuck the tie in.

not into a regular button down shirt...but if you are wearing a button down shirt with a tie and you put on a sweater over it, then you are supposed to tuck the tie into the sweater.

no when wearing a vest it should be tucking into his vest but a clip holdsit in place

well,it looks REALLY weird when you do that,so i would say no.but heres an exception: if you are eating and your tie keeps getting close to your food then its ok,but otherwise,its kinda weird,and people might laugh..
