i think it is more professional to ask the manager. then i will fill it out right then and there and hand it back to the manager.

Go to the service desk and ask for an application for employment. If they do not have them there they will be able to call the person responsible up to help you. remember to dress apporpreately when you go to the store to ask because many retail businesses will interveiw you right then adn first impressions count

I would ask for the store manager. Maybe I'm a cynic (well, not maybe), but who's to say that a retail clerk would actually even submit your resume to his boss, particularly if you're more qualified than he is?

The application should come from someone who is qualified to interview you and hire you.

you would ask who ever was at the front desk but nowadays you can look up the company and fill out an application on the computer.
