Easy. Remember that windows media player and itunes are simply programs that access music already saved on your computer, so you can play tracks or copy them to portable devices (eg an ipod) - neither "store" music themselves.

So, when you download the itunes software from the web, it will ask you whether you wish it to access all the music files saved on your computer. Then it will give you a list of the music you have stored.

I hope this helps.

There are two way you can do this:
1. Right click on the file and click open with and then choose itunes
or
2. You can go onto itunes and press Ctrl + O and then choose the file and then the file you choose will be transfered into your itunes

The bit-rate of the files is determined by your default settings at the time you download, rip or import them. Opening them in a different player won't change the bit-rate and iTunes actually has a much better graphic equalizer than WMP does. Just import the FILES to iTunes and you're ready to rock & roll!

What I did probably isn't the most obvious way, but it worked for me!!

I simpply bought a few blank CDs, copied my music onto the disc from windows media, then simply 'ripped'/ upoloaded it from the CD onto iTunes. Problem solved!

Happy new year and hope this helped!

If you have all your music in the folder called My Music then what you need to do is:
Go to iTunes then in the File menu select add folder, then navigate to my music select it by clicking on it then klick on O.K.
and you will have your music on iTunes.

You can also open iTunes and open another window showing the forlder with your music and drag it to iTunes music library tab.

Good luck to you and happy 2007

Find the actual file on your computer
Move into Itunes folder(drag and drop)
Take that and drag and drop into a playlist

There is probably an easier way, but this is what I have figured out and it works for me.
