So I got the chance to go to Las Vegas but my uncles and aunts invited themselves too, so about eight of us are all going to be in the same car on a ten hour drive to there. Among them is my annoying aunt who won't shut up and may just drive us insane.

So, is Las Vegas really so great that it's worth all this trouble?

How old are you? If you are over 21 it is an awesome place. If you are under 21, you will be really disappointed after making that trip (sounds like a horrible ride!). While Vegas bills itself as "family friendly," there really is not much to do if you're old enough to wander about on your own and do your own thing but not old enough to gamble or drink. You're not allowed to be in a casino if you're under 21 and they do check ID's even though there's no "doorman" when you enter. There's no under-21 clubs that I know of and the live music venues don't always let you see the show if you're under 21.

Well, all of the hotels you have chosen are reasonably close to eachother and are at the south end of the strip, perhaps that is why you chose them. MGM Grand is one of my favorite hotels, I absolutely love that hotel. The rooms were amazing and comfortable, and most importantly (to me) the rooms didn't smell like smoke. The pool is amazing, the restaurants are great. I have never really seen any celebrities there except for Kurt Thomas and I assuming he was in Vegas because he was traded the day before :) It is the the last stop on the monorail on the south end and quickly connects you to the rest of the strip. New York New York has an amazing casino. I love everything about the ground floor. I have heard the rooms tend to be smaller at this hotel. Mandalay Bay is amazing. One of the Southern most strip hotels with mini monorail connecting to Luxor and Excalibur. The hotel in its entirety is amazing. Good pool. Luxor gives me vertigo, I will probably never stay there. But the clubs are good. LAX is popular for celebrity sitings. You may even see Carrot Top on any given day! : ) My pick: MGM grand!

Leave extra early in the morning. Say 4 a.m. The aunt will be asleep for half the ride. As soon as you are there say you want to hit the pool and keep away from all those that bug you. If you can't do this then the vacation would be worse than staying home and having fun ther.

I agree... you need to CREATE a way CLEVERLY to get a second car. Find out who, also, doesnt like your aunt (lol, gosh i'm bad) & see if they'll go in on a rental (etc). Then, explain to your aunt, "it's a long drive & i just want everyone to be comfortable & have lots of legroom................".

Then, if there's friction... add "well, i'm going to have 4 suitcases.. we need another vehicle".

I live in LV. It's a great town. Arriving to town with a headache & a sore back arent any fun!! If you can get here (and be in a good mood). DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read as many Yahoo!Answers in the LasVegas US Travel Section as you can & follow up with all the sites referenced.
Have your headphones?
Yeah, just lose 'em as soon as the car stops.
Make sure you're ready to go when they're leaving.
You WILL have fun!
You WILL be glad you went!
You WILL wanna do it again soon without 'em!

Going to Las Vegas is more important than losing your virginity. Nuff said.

If you already have friction, a 10 hour drive will get ugly. Find a reason to take separate cars and if you accidentally get separated... well....
