why do some American's give this administration credit for preventing additional attacks, especially considering that they have done nothing to secure our borders or deport unregistered guests, and that they attacked Iraq and Afghanistan instead of Saudi Arabia where the terrorists came from, is there proof of thwarted attacks? Isn't it likely that no additional attacks were planned and that this was just one small group of radical thinking people who are now dead?

Let's not forget the foiled Al Queda plan to blow up a number of planes over the Atlantic that held many Americans, as well as Europeans this past year. Of course it was foiled by Scotland Yard, and not Homeland Security. Also, if anyone remembers the coverage after 9/11, when Al Queda was closely examined, it was pointed out they take an average of 5+ years to plan large scale attacks. We're sitting right on top of that right now. We attacked Afghanistan because that is where Al Queda operated out of, and they would not help with their capture, rather choosing to protect them. We all know now that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, even Bush admits that. We didn't attack Saudi Arabia for good reason. Number one is they are...ahem...our allies (yeah, I know that's b.s. but that's the story and they're sticking to it) and number two 15 of the 9/11 hijackers came from there, but had left their country for the safety of unopposed terrorist operations and training in Afghanistan.
