I was running and there was this 1-2 foot drop and I flew over it, fell, ripped my favorite jeans, and got a scraped knee on Friday. It's really gross and I wanna know the fasted way to heal it.

A little Neosporin, keep it clean, and air and water.

I had many years ago a bad cut, the told me to keep it wrapped up and under bandage, it ended up getting infected. When I sought out another Dr. he said, let the air get to it, and not to keep it bandaged all the time. He was right, and within a few days it looked 100% better, and healed quickly.

Infection is what prevents it from healing, so the cleaner it is the faster it heals. The easiest and most generic way is with plain old soap and water. Wash it several times a day (lightly) and it'll be well in no time. A little antibiotic ointment won't hurt either. But the ointment isn't any good if you don't keep it clean.

The best way to heal a cut like this would be to let it air out whenever possible. Keeping a bandage over it is a good idea if you are outside, but air is good, so let it be exposed to the air.

Some bandages come with dissinfectant- using those can help.

Good luck to you and your wound-
