Sounds more like a secure website issue to me.

I was redirected here by your less specific second question... but here are the steps the same as the other one.

click the start button, click run, type into the box:

regsvr32 softpub.dll

press enter

Reboot the PC and try the website. Should that not work. Try another browser.

http://getfirefox.com

http://netscape.com

Also... open up the control panel (start > control panel) and open up internet options (may be inside "network and internet connections). In there click the security tab, click "default level" (IE 6) or "reset all zones to default level" (IE7) in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Click advanced on the top left, make sure enable 3rd party browser extentions is unchecked, go to the very bottom of the list and make sure use SSL 2.0 and 3.0 AND use TLS 1.0 are all checked.

Click OK.

Test MYspace.

That is a common problem with computer that need a good cleaning. A large Browser Cache is the most commom culprit for this. Go to Tools>Internet Options>General tab>Delete the Cookies, Temp Files (in the window check the box for Offline content) and History. In IE 7 click the Delete Button in the Browsing History area and then delete those items.

You Temp. Windows Files may need to be cleaned. To do this, Exit all running programs including the Browser. Go to Start>Run>type: %temp%>OK. Now, go to EDIT>Select All> delete all the files.

Prefetch Files may also need deleting. Do it the same as above except type PREFETCH.

Try putting this URL into the address bar:
http://www.myspace.com/
Do not leave out any characters.
If this does not work, search for "myspace" on Yahoo's search engine and try to get to the site by clicking on a link to it.

If neither of these work, the first responder may be correct in the assumption that you have spyware installed on your hard drive.

Assuming your using some version of Windows XP at this point:
Before downloading any spyware detectors, take a look at your HOSTS file.

This file contains sites that your computer may or may not be blocking.

I've provided a link to further explain the HOSTS file, read the page entirely and carefully.

Your objective should be to find out if myspace has been added to your HOSTS file as a site to be blocked.

If you do not find myspace blocked in your HOSTS file, I recommend: Lavasoft AD-Aware

Also it is important to get Windows Updates because I used to be unable to get on to Google and no solution presented online would help me. However, after downloading one of the security updates for Windows, I was able to successfully reach Google's site.

Hope this info is helpful

run Adaware SE ( free) from lavasoft.com
The page should load, but if your ISP has a funky DNS server, or your own security settings stop certain pages, then that may stop it.
It is even remotely possible that a popup blocker is working to do this.
Check these options, as well as doing a Cleandisk, and dumping all your offline cached files in your browser

Your mommy stuck NetNanny on your computer. Someone made MySpace a "not allowed" site.

You probably have a spyware software on your computer. And, you could be typing in the address wrong.
