Why is the O.C. ending after only 4 seasons on FOX? Will the C.W. pick it to joinb their lineup of tv series? Will the story lines become more family oriented, especially the relationship between Julie and Kaitlyn, if the C.W. does decide they want it?

No they permenently canceled it. The CW Network won't be picking it up because ratings for this season have dropped.

The rating have been dropping a lot so that may be the reason. It's my favourite show and I'll be upset if they end it :( Let's hope the C.W. pick it up!

Mischa Barton left and the ratings are low. This is a no-brainer for a television exec.
