Absolutely not! That's a very tacky idea. If you can't afford the paint range with your friends in attendance, you shouldn't have invited them. Just pay for it yourself and who knows? Maybe your friends will get together and even pay for your paint balls as a birthday gift. Happy Birthday

You can put something on the invitation like... "Plan on bringing money if you plan on participating in paintball". If these are adults, this should be no problem. But if kids, maybe you/your family should put up some money, like half the cost. Or just choose to do soemthing else for your bday. Also you can check w/ the paintball range if they offer packages for parties.

Well depending on how much money they'd have to bring to help chip in... if they're bringing a couple of dollars you could say something like "please bring 10 dollars for paint instead of a gift" otherwise, i'd have your party somewhere else, or pay for the paint yourself. Happy birthday and good luck!

Only if you say on your invitation that you request the amount of the paintball range in lieu of a gift.

Sure why not just tell them to bring 5-10 bucks and with all of your guests it will add up to help out a bit.
-good luck

i think its common sense that if a party involves an activity like this that each person pays their own way..if they don't want to play then they are under no obligation to play..if i take my child to chuck e cheese i know we get 10 tokens from the party hosts as a part of the deal but if my kid wants to play more then i buy the tokens
