If by dg you mean decigrams and cg you mean centigrams, then
each dg is equal to 10 cg, and each cg is equal to 0.1 cg.

So

7 dg 9 cg

Is the same as

7.9 dg

or

79 cg

So you can do your problem as:

7.9 dg + 0.7 dg = 8.6 dg

Or:

79 cg + 7 cg = 86 cg

So your answer would be 8.6 dg, 86 cg, or 8 dg 6 cg. Your choice.

I'm assuming that dg. and cg. is an abbreviation for decigrams and centigrams

1 GRAM = 10 decigrams (dg)
1 GRAM = 100 centigrams (cg)
1 GRAM = 1000 milligrams (mg)

so you have

7 dg + 9 cg./7 cg.

Convert dg to cg

1 dg. = 10 cg so 7 dg = 70 cg

so now you have

70 cg + 9 cg/7 cg

covert 70 cg in to a fraction with the denominator of 7

70/1 * 7/7 = 490/7

so now you have

490 cg./ 7 cg. + 9 cg. / 7 cg

add

490 cg. / 7 cg. + 9 cg./7 cg. = 499 cg./7 cg.

If dg. and cg. are not the abbreviations for decigrams and centigrams post back and let me know what kind of problem it is.

7 dg 9cg + 7 cg=
7 dg 16 cg=8 dg 6 cg

another way is

+7cg
76 cg=7dg 6 cg

Assuming you mean: 7dg+(9cg/7cg) your answer would be 7dg+9/7
However, if you mean (7dg+9cg)/7cg your answer would be (7d+9c)/7c which could be written as: d/c +9/7

Do you mean decigrams and centigrams?

If so, than it's 79cg + 7cg = 86cg (or 8dg 6cg). hope that helps :D
