The only thing that will take the smell out is adding baking soda to the wash, also borax if it still exists will help. Baking soda is the best is a full load I take a cup depending on the size of the load it will hurt nothing.

The smell is most likely from blood and body fluids. An excellent product that I've used is CASCADE dishwasher detergent. I also use it for handkerchiefs that have blood on them from bloddy noses. I think it's the clorine bleach in the detergent that works on the blood. Also a good dousing of Fabric Softener in the rinse works well too.

About the only New Years resolutions I have ever kept was not to bother washing stained panties too much.
Just trash them and buy some new ones.
If laundry detergent and bleach and hot water doesn't work, you are out of luck.

Add 20 Mule Team Borax to your laundry. I use it to help with all kinds of odors, it works great. You can find it in the laundry section, its a powder. About half a cup to each load works great (also helps brighten colors and whites). You may have to look high for it, our store keeps it on the top shelf over the bleaches and softeners.
As with all things read the instructions carefully. I use it to get rid of ants in the house too. Just mix Borax with sugar and scatter it where you've seen them. BUT beware that if your pets lick it up or off of their paws, they could get sick.

use a panty liner ,that you can throw out !So all of your period won`t go on pants or it really Its sounds like that you need a new washing machine to be honest ,or put your smalls on a high temperture in the washing machine ,as they won`t shrink ,if you don`t want them to go in with other clotes put them in a sleepin pillow ,away from other clothes( just don`t use this again only to clean smalls) and add a comfort softher to the machine wash as well !!!
If that don`t work i am not sure what else to do ,just throw them out and buy cheaper smalls !!!

try all of those things, and rinse, rinse, rinse! remember where this fabric will be!!! you could cause yourself a lot of problems if you are not careful! i tried to use borax as a bleach alternative, and the entire family got a rash. partly, because we weren't used to the soap, and we all have sissy skin!
