For your Anti-Adware and Anti-Spyware needs...............

Pick and choose at least 2 anti-spywares from the list below and alternate scanning with them on a regular basis. New spywares are created literally hourly, so no single anti-spyware can really detect all malware. Have at least 2 on hand and alternate scanning with each every few days or so. All are free. All can remove as well as detect.

The above advice is all good. I use Spybot and Adaware. I would also add Spyware Blaster to your arsenal.

Scan the PC with standard antivirus software. If you do not have one, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Go to download.com and type in spyware. You'll find many many free spyware downloads from a site that is well known and trusted. I would look at the user reviews and choose the two you think are best.

You need both, they find different types of spyware. Download, install and run them. Use the immunize feature in SpyBot to immunize the computer against over 14,000 known types of spyware. When running Ad-Aware the first time, do a full system scan. Thereafter, run it often, doing a Smart Scan. remove any thing each of them finds.
