Give the shop a call first thing tomorrow and tell them about the problem you are having using it. They will either offer you a full refund or a new laptop as long as it is still under warranty.

what function has stopped working? the only element which you're able to do if the touch pad has long previous is the two replace it, or purchase a exterior mouse. if it is the clicking function, you may re-enable it with the aid of appropriate clicking on the touch pad image next to the clock on the backside appropriate.

maybe your driver has broken? download one off there website and give it a go.
Right click on My Computer and left click on properties at the bottom. Click on hardware then onto device manager and see if its still there. Maybe you have a question mark or you device has been disabled. Find the device and double click on it and check.
Have you reinstaled a new operating software recently?
