Being sandwiched in the table for 2 position between the toilet and the swinging kitchen door in the smoky non-smoking section.
Saw a comment recently that having a non-smoking section in restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool!

It's very irritating when the server assumes that because you are under 25 you tip poorly. I am 20 years old, and typically tip between 30-50%. I work at a restaurant, and I know that servers HATE waiting on people in my age group. They automatically assume that because you are young, you will not tip well. I understand that may often times be the case. Also, I most likely tip well because I work in a restaurant. Servers should remember, though, that if they go to their tables with a shitty "I'm not getting a good tip anyways, so I don't need to be as nice" attitude, then that's exactly what will happen. Sure, you're going to get stiffed sometimes... but if you have a poor attitude from the start, it's sure to happen time and time again. Like I said, I typically leave around 30-50% for a tip; but if I get bad service, your tip isn't going to be so good. So servers remember, you can't always generalize "groups"... and if you do, don't SHOW them that you expect a bad tip or you've already secured yourself a shitty tip!!

*A friend of mine once put fifty one dollar bills on the table at a restaurant and took money away every time he felt the server did something that was not deserving of that whole $50. This makes for some damn good service, let me tell you! Servers should realize that every time they are rude to you or give you poor service, more money is being taken away from THEIR tip-- it's really themselves that they're hurting. Servers work for just a few dollars an hour, and tips are how they make their money. I am an advocate of tipping well... but only if it is deserved! I don't mean my order has to be 100% perfect. I understand that people make mistakes. All I am asking is that my server is nice to me, smiles, and has a freaking personality.

So... ending my LONG story... bad service just because I am only 20 years old [especially when you can HEAR the server bitching] is the worst thing that has happened to me at a restaurant. Servers that act like this are really only screwing THEMSELVES!!

Ha Ha the worst thing that has ever happened to us was sitting at a table for 2 in an Indian restaurant then ordering our food. A few moments later they came and moved us to a table for 4 as they couldn't fit all the food we had ordered onto a table for 2!! And dare I admit we ate it all??!!

Hair in my food!

I also hate it when the family with the unruly child is conveniently placed in the center of the restaurant, so that no matter where you go you have to put up with them. Makes me want to yell at the parents for not taking care of the kid.

Go out for lunch or breakfast on my day off as a reward for all the work week.

Sit with multiple tables around all talking business with each other and on cell phones.

I hate being sat by the toilet or the kitchen or the door so people have to keep walking past your table

I can't stand sitting by people with small children. I think that they should have a "family section" in restaurants, and anyone with children 5 and under have to sit in the family section.
