The average runs 18,000 to 24,000. I had a pool once that was 45,000 gallons and whenever the guys at the pool supply asked me the size (to calculate cehmical needs) the refused to believe me. We filled it part of it and the new, more typical pool, is now at 24,000 gallons.

Calculate it this way...this is where metric is a dream. A Litre is 1000 cubic centimetres. So, measure your length, then width in centimetres. Measure the 'Deep End', add it to the 'Shallow end' divide by 2, gives the average depth.. Multiply length, width,average depth, divide by 1000 (to give litres) then divide by 3.78 to give American Gallons or 4.5 to give imperial gallons.

MIne is average, just big enough for a diving board at one end. I have est. it to be around 22,500 gallons.

i have a 24 x 4 round pool and its 14,500 gals.......at least that what the book on it says......
