I remember at school once, I decided not to go in one Monday morning, but had a lesson with the same teacher that I was avoiding that same afternoon. I played it utterly deadpan, coming in that afternoon in a real black mood, sitting down, saying nothing. She waited twenty full minutes for me to offer my excuse, but I didn't. In the end, she was forced to ask me where I'd been that morning.
"I was failing my driving test....again," I told her. Poor thing broke down into paroxysms of sympathy, and I never ehard another word about it.

While working on a car magazine many years later, there were many occasions when I'd get carmakers to lend me their latest models for a week, and, as I was in the middle of a relationship with a woman living on the other side of the country, would wake up at something ugly past five, think "Bugger this for a game of soldiers", sleep till nine and call in to say the brand new cars wouldn't start for me and I'd be in on Tuesday. Mondays should be abolished!

Oh I had the best excuse! I went into labor with my second child at about 4:00 in the morning. I called my boss from the hospital and said, "I wonder if you could get me a substitute today..... I'm having a baby."

They were happy to. :)

i'm the best comparable way! i attempt to think of of the outstanding side of each and every subject- subsequently, it rather is getting to arise, get waiting, go outdoors into the clean air, and spend an afternoon with pals. all of us hate college, enable's settle for it. do no longer think of of the undesirable area of it (paintings, notes, instructors, training) think of of the good area. it will look extra perfect that way. good success! x

I work in the food industry and even though I work in the office, if you say you have thrown up its a mandatory 3 days sick.

Something to do with hygiene regulations.

I've even phoned up on day 3 saying I needed to get back, and they've said stay at home!

I don't use excuses, I just hide. For some reason, people don't seem to notice that I'm not working, so there's a plus to not being noticed ;)
