For Catholics, there is the "Simbang Gabi" 10 nights of attending mass. The whole family gets together for the "Noche Buena" kinda like a thanksgiving dinner, that is on Christmas Eve. Of course exchanging gifts and opening of presents are also done.
But the very center of it is family.

Midnight mass on Christmas eve is a must to most christian Filipinos. It's then followed by the "buenas noches" Christmas party with a smorgasbord of different Filipino dishes.
