Yep, you got it, sweetheart. The world doesn't hate us because we're murdering civilians in an illegal and ill-advised "war." They don't hate us because our sense of national entitlement allows us to exploit other countries with no sign of embarrassment or scruples whatsoever. It's all Brittney Spears' **** fault the world hates us.
Good grief.

The greatest threat I see is in the way we think. I would say group think is probably our biggest downfall coming. If we do not learn to break from this way of thinking that leads us to follow leaders blindly and not take leadership roles ourselfs we are doomed to become a country that stands for everything america shouldnt. The balance between when people should lead and when they should follow has become very unballanced lately. More people need to pick up a sword "hopefuly the sword of love" and fight for freedom.

Religious extremism. Extremism in general. Over restrictive narrowness in laws. People who want the world to be a very restricted overly moral straightjacketed place. People who are too quick to make war and invade other countries. Terrorism, doesnt' matter which side. Nuclear weapons. Poisoning the planet.
People.
We need to mature out of needing moralist handholding that old fashioned religious views want us to take on. I'm referring to sexuality in particular. Freedom is far more important than outdated illthought out restrictive dogma whatever the source. Before someone quotes "Love thy neighbour" or "thou shalt not steal", simple ethics can be taught and valued without heavy dogmatic "truths". The world doesn't need religion, it needs a way to pass on some universal values and ethics that don't have a baggage of belief systems tied into them. I don't need to be religious to not steal for example.
There, that's me piece :-). Just a reaction to the bit about putting clothes on. Load of cobbler's. World has to mature. A LOT.

the greatist threat is lack of responsibility at home, people dont want to take time with their children to teach them values, gang members mothers are always the last ones to say my kids not a gang member, after a gang related incident or death, music and icon heroes are all about money, which equals power, the thug is now the hero in this society.people also think its ok to cheat and lie(like our last president) and most people defend this, and G.Bush is not a threat to our civilization but a defender in why its still here

I would have to say religious fanatics. I am not referring to any particular religion, but have you noticed all the agendas that are trying to be set by religious folks. Just my opinion.
