No, love and kindness can ever be wasted. Since humans are social creatures, every action we make, although it seems outrageous to us, will impact atleast one person. Every action we make. It may be lost on a person for not obsering it, but it may still you a sense of peace. You may end a relationship, but you both will have memories of time that you spend together. Love is the most beautiful thing in life, something as pure and wonderous as love could never be wasted.

Has anything ever been wasted? Even throwing away garbage and forgetting about it doesn't mean its completely gone and wasted. So, how can this question ever see a good light? Notice I didn't get into the love or kindness part, those subjects are more delicate than the waste you have brought up.

No, love and kindness are to be cherished but let's say you love someone to whom you are also very kind. However, this someone does not return your love and kindness. The love you are giving to this person is not "wasted" per se, but you would be wasting your time hovering around this individual as your love would never be returned. Everyone deserves to have someone who truly loves them. You would be wasting your time with a person who does not seem to be moving in a positive direction towards your efforts to them. You are not hurting anyone by showing love and kindness, but you would be short-changing yourself in such an unrequited position. It would be ideal that such person would show some love and kindness for your position and advise you to move on to find someone that would return such adoration and caring. Did you waste your love and kindness? No, you were just not focused on optimal results for yourself! .

Philoshers and virtuous people used to say, No, it is never wasted.

But I would differ there, and so would alot of people.

I think love and kindness can be wasted on cruel people.

I hate to say it, it just gives them more power to hurt you, cause you are just ok-ing it then.

It's like saying you agree with the way they are treating you, and then you will get 10 times more of it. And that will make them think you are weak. Even if you know you are not, cause kindness is a thing they can never really understand.

It also confuses their world.

They are probably better off not confused, cause that will only rack up bad Karma for them.

And you are probably better off not confusing them. Cause' it could end up confusing you, too.

And there are so many better people to give you're love and kindness, too. Like the deserving ones, and the ones who will help you. It's not that mean people can't, they just won't.

Love and kindness are never wasted. The impression may be that way because in reality we have very little awareness of how muchh of the good thing is to much and we do need to be aware of what we pour out.

No . It may be wasted on the object of your love or kindness , in that it was either not accepted or appreciated - but the giving of love and kindness always comes back to the giver , in time .

of course not. Have you ever done a random act of kindness? Try it tomorrow. Watch the person's face. It's one of shock. Let someone go in front of you in a grocery line and just ask that they return the favor to someone else. It's actually fun!!

You cannot run out of it, in that sense, you cannot waste it.

Though you cannot supply it to everyone, and if you supply it to the wrong people, it would be wasted.

So...in effect, yes you can waste it since you can supply it to only a limited number of people.

I don't believe you can at all, otherwise I wouldn't give my love or kindness to as many people as I seem to do. Love and kindness are what give people hope, and all we can do is keep trying to show that through our actions and words, no matter what.

Never, the act of giving them will at the very least benefit the giver.
