I'm currently studying for the Texas Bar Exam and I'm finding it's really difficult to stay focused! I feel like there is an overwhelming amount of material to learn in an impossibly short time period. I keep telling myself that many have gone before me, but I'm still having a hard time when I sit down with my BarBri books. Help!

I would suggest two things.

First, set out a plan. Determine how many days you have till the exam and then pick a topic per day or days and an amount of time.

Go over your material, quiz yourself, make flash cards ... whatever you need.

Second, look for others studying for the same exam. Work together as a team, break up the material and each subgroup works a topic and presents and then do Q and As ....

If you do go a group route, come up with some sort of statement of comittment from every member to try and make sure you are all on the same page effort wise. Too many times you have one person really gung ho and another who sees the group as their own personal resource.

best,

The best way to do it is: clear your mind, relax maybe meditate alittle just to losing up, lf you are by yourself make sure no one will distract you , study in time frames giving yourself a break, don't over work yourself but go at a steady pace. Pray and ask for a peace of mind and to give you strength. and Having a study partner works well too.
