Motorola Phone Tools?

Question

Is the Phone tools the same for all types of RAZR's ?

Like if you were to have two phone tools discs of different colours of Motorola RAZRS do the tools look/work any differently. And if using two RAZRS over one phone tools will the computer reconise them as the same phone ?

Motorola RAZR's come in different guises, I assume you are talking about the V3 range, of which there is the V3, V3i and the V3x. The colour of the phone will make no difference.

Phone tools will display only the options relevant to the phone, e.g: the V3 would have less options available than the 3G V3x phone. It will also recognise each phone seperately allowing you to modify each phone to different requirements.

The MPT software is the same for all motorola phones, it just shows the bits appropriate to the connected phone. Probably all RAZRs will show up as the same. I have in the past set it up to handle two phones (a V500 and a V545) It's a bit fiddly but it can be done. The important thing is to make sure you use a different directory for each phone on the PC for the individual back-ups
