I'M 13, AND 5'2. I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD AT LEAST B 115 POUNDS. RIGHT NOW, IM A LIL UNDER 100, WAT R SOME HEALTHY WAYS THAT'LL HELP ME GAIN WEIGHT?

HEY GUYS THANKS FOR THE ANSWERS BUT HERES SOME MORE DETAILS. I HAVE MY PERIOD ALREADY AND I DO EAT W/E I WANT. CHIPS, DONUTS, HAMBURGERS, FRIES, SODAS, W/E I WANT TO EAT I EAT. ONE OF MY FRIENDS TOLD ME THAT THE MORE I EAT THE FASTER MY METABOLISM WILL GET IS IT TRUE. SHE DEALS WITH THE EXACT SAME ISSUES AS ME.

ok. I'm 13, 5'8", and weigh 110. guess what size i am? a 2! no, I'm not annorexic, i eat 3 meals a day, and guess what? it's ok! you don't have to gain weight. if you want to gain weight though...i think this is how it works: you exersize where you want to gain weight. this sounds dumb but look up some excersizes for 'it' and do them. then eat some junkfood and your body thinks your 'it' needs carbs, so it sends them there. or if you don't believe me, maybe you should talk to a dietician. she will have all the answers. go to yahoo and type in dieticians in ____ (your) area. and then make your mom take you to one. if she doesn't, take my advice :p

The way to gain weight isn't through eating fatty foods, thats just going to clog your arteries and blood flows. The right way is to eat more filling foods like pasta, and meats like steak or chicken. Another way is to exercise, muscle will help you gain weight. I'm not saying go to the gym and lift 60 pounds, thats a little ridiculous. Maybe go out and buy yourself some dumbbells and lift those occasionally, and you could also try some push ups and squats too.

I had the same problem when I was younger, and honestly, I couldn't gain weight no matter how I tried, but as soon as I hit high school and participated in soccer and track I gained 15 pounds of muscle, mostly in my legs. Not to mention, when you get older, and mature, your body starts to fill out too.

You really don't have that much to worry about, because you'll fill out, its just a matter of time.

No that's a pretty good weight. I was around 95 lbs when i was 13. Now im 14 and i weight 102lbs. So ur weight is good.
If u want more info google "teen body mass index". U just type in ur age, weight, height, etc. (no personal information) and they will tell u if u r in a healthy weight range.
Be happy that u have good weight, others r ashamed of being fat so the go on those stupid crash diets. Trust me ppl ruin their lives by doing that.

You're 13. Chances are you haven't really hit puberty yet. While that is thin for someone who's 5'2 chances are it's just your age. Give it a year or two, don't start worrying about your weight now. My sister who's 12 is about the same weight and height as you and she's perfectly healthy.

You aren't underweight, but your a skinnier girl. It would really depend on your bone structure, maybe your a really petite girl. Anyways, a good sight to check up on once in a while (which has BMI's meant for teens) is Channel one.

Also teenagers eat a ton of junk food, I know I do. It's just as you said our metabolism, but the metabolism will slow down as you get older. Maybe 30 or 40

You can start eat fast food a lot of grease food like fried chicken a lot of chips and candy but I think you should not try to gain weight

Why would you want to gain weight. I think a size 2 is perfect. Your only 13 so you're still growing.

I would think that you are in the average weight for girls your age. I wouldn't try and gain or lose anything. Just eat healthy!

i seriously think that size 2 is nawt bad. i mean i'm like the exact height as u and 85pounds. it's nawt like u purposely make yourself thin, it's just the way yr body reacts 2 the food. so i say eat as much as u think is good 4 u and dont let other ppl's opinions get in yr way!!!!!!

Why does everyone assume that people will envy skinnier girls? is it becoming socially unacceptable to be at a normal weight? These days, the skinnier you are, the prettier you are considered to be! I dont understand the logic behind it.
