When you have a negative exponent, take the reciprocal of the whole thing and make the exponent positive. If your negative exponent is in the denominator of a fraction, take the whole thing to the numerator and make the exponent positive
Ex) 5^-2 = 1 / (5^2) = 1 / 25

1. (a^-4 * b^7)^-5

1 / (a^-4 * b^7)^5

1 / (a ^-20 * b^35)

a^20 / b^35

-----------------
2. -1 / p^-6

-1 * p^6

-p^6

Hope that helps!

i havent done this type of maths for a long long time, but i'll try:
(a^4b^7)^-5 = (a^4b^7)/5
-1/p^-6 = (p^-6)^-1 = p^6 (u multiply -6 and -1 = 6)
