Some Vegitarians and Vegans I know do just fine without "meat". Protiens must be injested for proper health. It does not matter how you get these protiens. Just as long as we do.

We can be completely healthy without eating any meat. We do require protein to survive, but protein can come from a wide variety of vegetables like nuts and beans.

If you look at primates, many are omnivores but some rarely have an opportunity to eat meat in the wild.

Yeah, back in the caveman days we were designed for chewing on brontosaurus legs (jk!). our teeth are designed the way that they are because of our ancestry, but we don't HAVE to eat meat to maintain good health; getting protein from other sources such as beans and tofu work just as well as red-meat ones.

Your theory would explain why I crave cheeseburgers about once a week, though...

First of all, you're wrong. Our teeth are not designed to eat meat. Second, our bodies were not designed to digest meat. In fact, if you eat too much meat, you will clog arteries. Our protein can come from several other places. All of the vegans I know are healthier than anyone else.

I have no problem with people who eat meat, but why would you want to question people who don't eat meat, and why would you spread false information about scientific falsies.

true, you can get protein from non-meat sources. but why would you want to?? you have to eat so many nuts and beans to get the same amount of protein in a piece of meat. granted, there is a lot of fat mixed in with the meat, but that's why you need to excercise. you can eat whatever you want, as long as you excercise.

back when we were "designed" (not my word), life was harder and more physically demanding (more excercise), so there were few or no fat people. our society has gotten lazy, many jobs in the modern world are desk jobs, the favorite american hobby is tv watching. what do you expect from all that?? a bunch of fat people. if you want to lose weight, don't cut the meat, cut the sitting around, and add some excercise.

Not really because you can replace meat for other things such as peanuts and beans but you may be right you may have to eat at least a piece of fish

I've read somewhere that we are actually herbivores.. but I don't know. I am actually vegetarian because of my religion and I am healthy. Although meat has protein, it's not the only thing that does. It doesn't matter where you get your nutrients from, only that you do get them. Also, as a whole, vegetarian nations are usually healithier than non-veg.. just look at the obesity rate here!

yes we are designed to eat meat

just check out the canines, they are a little smaller than they used to be, but check out those pointy ones, on the sides, the flat front ones are for scraping meat off of bones, and like chopping

the back ones are for grinding like grains and stuff

we need all the Amino Acids to make proteins, our bodies make 12 of em, we have to eat the rest of them

I think the reason that we need meat is for the protein. Protein can be found in some vegatables also, so I don't think so, but I'm sure it's better if you do.
