i asked a question earlier and it consisted of meeting a man in iraq online and we completely feel for eachother...ive been writing letters and we email (almost) everyday...ive been sad but try to stay postive while he is away...there is so much time before he comes home. i have told him that i aboslutely will wait....for all of you that were in iraq at some point...is there such a thing as sending too many letters or communication?? i just dont want to overwhelm this man with too many things...i only email him back when he emails me and i write all the time. im sure that he misses me, and im flattered that he even has the communication that he has with me....i just want to him to never have doubts that im here and i care about him so much....any advice would help me. thanks guys.

i am in iraq right now and my wife sends me stuff and contacts me through email all the time. it is a great thing to have someone to talk to over here. getting mail is like christmas for us over here. we would fight to have that. getting any kind of mail or message is very important to us. i want to thank you for all you have done for your boyfriend and your continued support for all of us over here. oh yeah, you really cant send too much.

I'm not a guy or in the military, but I think that any communication from home would mean a lot to them. It's a time in their life when things from home are very precious to them. I'd say as long as it's not a 100% mush fest and there's some stuff he could show to other guys (current events, weather, etc) you can write away as much as you want.

From an ex-army guy, all the communication is great, as long as none of it is negative. Negative material can distract and cause accidents. Be sure you can take the life of the military before you invest too much emotion in it. Go for it.

My husband is in the military and has just came back from iraq. I know for a fact that you can't send to much mail, emails, ect.

I'm deployed and communicate with my lady each day. It is not fun and games over here and I look forward to communicating with her each day.

This is something that keeps me going. I don't know about you and this guy, it sounds like a pen-pal kind of thing. I've been with my lady for some time now.

Good luck.

On line romances are a disaster waiting to happen. Do not set your heart on a far off man you have never met and about whom you know only what he tells you.

When you are in that situation, any and all letters and communication are welcomed.
