I love oprah, but she needs to be more diverse. she claims she is for all people, but all she attracts is the white audience. in her magazine, it would be nice if you see all women, because that's what oprah is all about(she helps men too, so don't get me wrong).

Here is the perspective from someone who does not watch her show, or know all that much. The latest "controversy" I have heard is with regard to a $40M school she built in Africa. Some people are saying that that money could have built many many schools, instead of a single super-deluxe school. If I were Oprah, I would respond "OK, no more schools for you".
The next-to-latest controversy is about her crashing a wedding. The criticism of this seems out of proportion. Sure, if you crashed her wedding you'd be arrested. But she wasn't, and the family didn't take it up with the police. She probably won't do this again.
On the whole I think she has done a lot of good, made a few very human mistakes (as have the rest of us).

Oprah Winfrey is a fake.
The cars she gave away to her audience from GMC was given to her free of charge from that company because they were going broke and wanted to promote sales.
Some of the people didn't accept those cars because they couldn't afford to pay the taxes or tags on them.
If,and I say "If" she gives away anything that truly belongs to her,
it's a tax write off as it is for all wealthy people.
She has billions of dollars, so to give ten million to build a school for under-privileged black girls only, is like donating ten dollars.
If she really wanted to help her people, then she would donate much much more to the people in Africa who are sick and starving and in desperate need of medical supplies and food, instead of teaching them how to groom them self so they can be beautiful.

What I think about her is that she's an intelligent person, business smart and goes after what she wants. She really has paid her dues to make to where she is today. It was not always easy for her and she struggled in her field of work. I respect her. She gives back to the community and she really tries to reach a little bit of everyone. She's BIG.

I think she is overrated. There is no doubt that she uses her celebrity and wealth to do some good, but things like the Legends Ball, the size of her California estate, and the fact that she considers her dogs to be her kids makes me wonder. And what's the deal with Stedman? And Gayle? And she can't act her way out of a paper bag. There, I feel better now.

She is awesome. She puts all of her energy into helping others, and making people aware of issues. She uses her fame in a positive way, unlike most other celebrities.

She also pulled herself up from nothing.
