Having a brown discharge after your period is not unusual but it is something to be cautious of since you are also having back pain and cramps. It would be best to skip all suggestions of cure and head to your doctor. It is better to go to the Dr. and find out it is nothing. Could be a small cyst that burst or just left over blood. Good luck but go to the Dr.!!!

Apparently it is not uncommon to have brown discharge soon after your period or when you are ovulating.

"Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test."

Your back pain and cramps, however, are a bad sign:
"If you are having ANY of the symptoms below SEE YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.
Pain
Itching
Discomfort
Rash or sores alone or with a vaginal discharge"

You should see a doctor ASAP, to be safe.

Sometimes periods are just wacky. Especially if your on birth control and you skip a couple pills. Also if you drink alcohol or your eating habits are'nt healthy or you have a disorder your periods will be very out of wack. If it keeps happening see a doctor or go to a clinic. If it just happens that once I'm sure your fine.
