Try using a 'sterident' or other denture cleaner.

put in about a half cup of salt and enough water to make a 'salt slushy' and just twirl the pot and let the salt do the work of rubbing the stain out. An old stain might take a lot of spins or a bit of a scrub. Cheap and effective. Baking soda is a good cleaner but you need more elbow grease with it :-)

As an avid tea pot user I know of several ways to remove stain. Either dissolve laundry soda, or bicarbonate of soda in boiling water in pot and allow to soak several hours, or use biological washing powder ditto or diswasher powder ditto. I have noticed that when my pot is on an 'Intensive' wash in the dishwasher it comes clean but on on the 'Economy' wash it does not.

Put washing up powder in your tea pot and fill it with boiling hot water and let it sit for a few hours you can see the washing up powder starting to work straight away. Then when its all nice and clean put some luke warm water in it and bring to boil then rinse it out and thats it. It really does a fantastic job i do this all the time with my teapot and it comes up a treat hope this helps and i beg you to try you will be impressed

Soak with a solution of biological washing powder, if the stains are really persistant you can scrub with a sponge and the stain should just lift off.

Easy stuff ,luke warm water a little only ,and lots of sugar and a bit of elbow ,and there you go its off, this works for pots with tea or coffee, cups and tea spoons ,if you don`t want to use bleach ,sugar works just as good with a little rub with your fingers and hey presto ,it`s clean!!!
