try slowly building up how much makeup you wear...
first day-just wear sheer peach lip gloss
2nd-lipgloss and shimmery pink eyeshadow (just on lid)
3rd- lip gloss, eyeshadow and mascara
please please. do not wear harsh, black liner on the top and bottom.
girls think it looks good but it actually just makes your eyes appear smaller
ps. email me anytime if you want more makeup advice :p

Well really at 12 you don't need that much makeup. I know it sounds old fashioned but even fashion magazine editors and makeup artists say a little goes a long way and really for school all you might need is some lipstick or lip gloss and perhaps a little blush.
Doing eyeliner well takes alot of skill, you don't want to look like someone punched you in the eye. And you really don't need mascara unless you're going out for a formal evening, which at 12 you won't be, or shouldn't be.
When you begin wearing makeup all the time your natural beauty doesn't show through. You'll have lots of time to trowel the stuff on later in your life. Besides no matter what they tell you boys like the natural look .

Why would you want to wear makeup at your age. It will only make you look older and not pretty at all. People will think you are trying to attract the wrong kind of friends.
My parents came from the old school I was never able to wear makeup until I was 21. Since I lived at home I obeyed the rules.
But when my children where growing up my girls started wearing makeup when they were 16. and not before. They didn't like Mascara which was fine with me, eye shadow and liner and to this day that is all they still wear...

I am 13 I ware make up. So after a year even if some is left throw it out. Cause when you get sick the germs are there and it is unhealthy so about a year then throw it out and get some new stuff OK. Just let me tell you I only use Two things eye liner and mascara, because I want people to see my eye color. Make doesn't make you beautiful. I say a good smile can help any face. That is if you don't your own. So i hope you don't think make up will make you prettier all it does is make your natural beauty stand out or cover it up if you use to much. I barely started to use it last year. after I turned 13.

When I was 12, I started wearing mascara and lip gloss, that's all. Later, at about 14, I experimented with eye shadows and blush. Then, in my early 20's, I tried the eye liners, base make up and all that. Now, I've gone back to usually only wearing mascara, a little eye pencil as liner, and a moisturizing lip gloss. If it's sunny, I'll wear some compact make-up with a sunscreen for protection mostly, but have found that less is more youthful-looking. I think my best advice is to take good care of your skin. Talk to your mom in terms of wanting to protect your skin from the sun with a tinted moisturizer containing sunscreen and a clarifier (to help keep you from breaking out). And then, it's only natural to want to darken your eyelashes a bit, but be sure to get good quality stuff (like Almay) that won't make your eyes itch. And then, many lip glosses (like Burt's Bees) protect your lips from getting chapped in the winter. That way your mom is happy that you're taking good care of your skin and keeping it light and natural, and you get to enjoy a little cosmetic enhancement!

Sweetie- natural beauty can NOT be enhanced with make-up. I didn't wear make-up until I was in high school and that was because I was in theater. Old women NEED make-up. Don't get into that "everyone but ME gets too..." makes you sound immature. You have or will have enough to disagree about with your parents- pick your battles. Perhaps you can make a deal- like if I get all "A's" then I can wear eyeliner and lip gloss... if you want it that bad, you'll get the grades. Also, mascara is the best and fastest way to ruin your naturally long and beautiful lashes. When you do start wearing make-up be absolutely sure you take it off before bed and moisturize. It would be better to pamper your skin- make-up only stops up pores. Good luck and God bless.

I know how wearing makeup may seem pretty important to look beautiful, but trust me it doesnt. Eyeliner, mascara and shadow are pretty much what everyone wears, if you really want to start wearing makeup try something lighter, like lip gloss and clear mascara but no liner, some blush to bring out your cheeks and very light shadow for color and shade. But hold off the heavy stuff till your atleast 15 or 16, it worth the wait.

You should definitely get a good skin care regimen going before you get really into make up. This would include a good cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunblock. Then I think at your age you should start off with tinted lip-glosses and maybe some mascara. But right now your body is still changing and growing and your skin may be sensitive to any products you put on it. Using too much makeup could lead to acne breakouts and potentially unsightly blemishes. Plus by showing your mom that you know how to take care of yourself and your skin she may be more willing to let you use more make up in the future

i started wearing makeup when i was 12 actually. whether or not u decide to wear it remember that you would rather wear no make up at all than look like a clown. Right now, you don't need the whole deal. No foundation or blush that will make ur face look cakey. Try a little concealer or pimples and things, a little bit of eyeliner, a little gloss, and mascara. Please don't over do it!!!
Good Luck!!!!!!!!

I don't think an age limit can be put on it, but if you're mom doesn't want you to wear it then im sure she has reasons. Talk to her about it, honestly wearing makeup isn't as great as it sounds.. its almost more of a hassel than being worth wearing it. If you really want to wear it try seeing if you can start with something like lip gloss. Good luck, and try not to get too caught up in looks darling.

I think that you shouldn't be busy with such things. There is a suitable time for everything. I mean you can't run before you can walk. That's why makeup leads you to look like a mature although you are a child yet. When the time comes, you can make up all the way you want.
