Go for the older versions like Limewire 4.10.9 . They are better. The newer versions are being forced to incorporate anti piracy measures which are a pain in the @ss. I have had limewire for years and they are a good program and wont hurt your computer. Stick with the old and even if it tells you that there is a newer version avilable tell them no thanks. When downloading tho song files are about 5,000 kbs so dont download those files are smaller than the usual song they are advertisements. Also watch out for files that are named differently from the one u are looking for. eg. For obvious reasons I might have a XXX pic and I name it Homer , and you looking for a picture of Homer are going to download and might open it up in front of your kids to impress them. I hope u understand

As far as p2p programs go limewre is pretty safe for your computer. Be careful about what you download though the riaa and mpaa are out to nail people. Also, scan all files for viruses before you open them.

I have never had a problem with limewire on my computer. If you have a good antivirus program installed you should be fine.

Just be real careful not to get caught. Thats big trouble

I have had Limewire on my computer for four years and it hasn't hurt it any. Some people may beg to differ, but for the most part I would say it is safe.
