Does any body have any tricks for keeping the tip of your eyeliner pencil free of shadow? I use a powdery smugable black pencil, but the tip always gets covered in the shadow and it doesn't make a very good line. I can't just wipe it clean, and usually end up sharpening it every day. Any tips? thanks!

I usually draw the excess colors on the back of my hand until i see true color of the pencil, then draw it on my eyes. This way you elimiate the waste of sharpening.

Why can't you wipe it clean?

You can apply it before you apply your shadow and then use a thin-tipped eyeliner brush with eyeshadow of the same color to apply over your eyeliner, so you are only applying your eyeliner to bare skin.

I hate that...put the liner on first and the shadow on after. it blends it more and looks more naturalo and totally makes your eyes pop

Put your eyeliner on first before your eyeshadow.
