Hi there !!!!
Good for you you want to keep your marriage going !!
I would ask him how is he doing, and listen to him without judgeing him or being defensive
Call him out of the blue to tell him you were thinking of him and how much you love him
Send him a love letter, something that will make him blush
Call him late, late at night , and have a real nice phone conversation with him, if you know what I mean
Visit him , if you can where he works, and have some fun
arrange a date, every month if possible
when he is home, have a date night also, just you two
make a scrap book with old photos, news clippings, momentos you both have had,and mail it to him with a love note
Have a star named after him for his birthday
have a picnic together
Hug him for no reason, whisper sweet nothings in his ear
cook for him when he is home
Let him know how much you love him, and value him, how much you have loved spending all these years married to him
Do not fill your head with negative things, thoughts are things girl. Sometimes it is better to just have faith, do what YOU have to do and let go. Don;t drive yourself crazy either. Never be in a relationship with someone who does not want to be with you. Give it a try though, but if it does not work out, don't blame yourself.
Life is a wonderful journey we all have to embrace whole, we take the so called good and bad, to me it is all good, everything gives us a learning experience. live life to its uttermost, bathe in the sun, have fun in the wind, watch the stars shine at night, take the time to hear the sounds of nature, be happy to be alive, and savour each moment as if it were your last
Live happy and free
love light and peace

You have a bigger problem that you are avoiding. He is not happy and doesn't want to be married anymore, which is mainly his fault because he is away for long periods of time! I am not surprised your relationship is on the brink of ruin. He doesn't realize that when two people stay away from each other for long periods of time, it does damage to your marriage. Talking on the phone is not good enough, he needs to be home more often. I say that because he may have fallen for someone else and will be spending the 6 months with her. He is not a ideal candidate for marriage.

Sounds like you really love him. my idea is to try to talk to him about exciting stuff such as: cool vacations together, nice sexy underwear that you want to buy for yourself, you know, spicy things that will make him miss you and appreciate what he has! good luck!
