It's mind over matter to quit. Is the cigarette more powerful then some people's minds?

You're wrong. You people are obviously too weak to quit. You just don't go buy more of them. It doesn't matter how bad you want it, you just don't go. It is mind over matter, it's just that you are too weak willed.

Cigarettes contain nicotine, which is actually as addictive as other street drugs. It's not just in the mind when you can't stop, it's just that it is addictive.

Have you ever smoked? Have you ever tried to quit smoking? From your question, I take it that the answer is No. Quitting is not mind over matter! It's hard to quit something that has a drug in it that is addictive! Try telling a crack-head that it's just mind over matter about quitting!

In some ways, yes, the cigarette can be more powerful than the people's minds. It's incredibly difficult to break such an addiction

well because you never try cigarettes before so you don;t know how charming it is when you just take a smoke out of it. it is hard to control but with the help from pepople around and yourself you can stop the smoking.
