Can anyone tell me why this country is now so politically correct?

PC is a way to control thought and the masses. If they make things like complaining about 25 million plus illegal immigrants invading America not PC, you'll be more apt to do nothing and shut up, which is what they want. Hitler used PC to control people and thought. The UN doesn't want you to object to a one world Govt. and control, so they make it taboo for you to complain about things that don't make sense. Communism needs PC people to work. PC is also a socialist attack on your freedom of speech. If they make things not PC and brainwash the public, then you won't say those things they no longer whan you to say. They want to control your thought, your speech and actions.

I think it is all to do with the European Law of Human Rights which was passed in the millenium year. The penalties of falling foul of it are so great and far reaching that everyone errs on the side of caution to such an extreme that it is a total mockery of a law! Virtually anyone can claim against another under it for the most bizarre and ridiculous reasons. Ther should be a Human Rights Reform Bill urgently rushed through Parliament.

PC has gone mad in this country. When I was teaching and studying for the Adult Teacher Certificate my tutor actually corrected me in an assignment every time I wrote 'white board' replacing it with 'wipe board'. That was ridiculous. I understand that the media has a lot to do with this distortation and people could say black board without fear of offending a black person before the newspapers printed extreme articles on the subject. How many white people cry when they are asked if they want brown or WHITE sugar in their coffee. On my gosh, they said WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The world has gone mad.

Too many do gooders. They threw Enoch Powell out and that was the begining of the end. I have heard that it may be politically incorrect NOT to be of a certain religion and that only people of that religion will get the job etc.

If we are politically correct, then people will leave us alone. You will fit in. it is human nature to be part of a group, so fitting in is wanted. but we forget ourselves when you try to be popular or correct in society. I for one think that people who have the fucken balls to be "incorrect" are the people we should look up to. they are following their heart, no matter the consequence. these people are heroes.
