Pfft. No. Why in the world would any man want that? Would you want to slave your entire life at a job you hate just so someone can stay at home and take care of the house? Better to have both working as a team supporting the house and marriage.

Women suffrage was not a mistake, and women should have the right to vote!!!
Do women not have to obey the laws???
If women do not have the right to suffrage, then they do not have the obligation to obey.
Also, the ballot is the lastest inovation to self-government. And correct me if i'm wrong, but women are also human, and just as human as the men are. They were given what are known as 'natural rights'. Rights which were given to them, by nature.
And aren't women usually the ones, that stay home with the children?? aren't the children influenced by the people that they spend most of their time with?? YES! And isn't the ballot an educator?? so how would you want the kids to be influenced? Both male AND female contribution is needed in politics.
As for being barefoot and pregnant, that has nothing to do with voting rights.
I think what you are trying to ask is whether women working outside the home a mistake. which is not, as well.
The men, should help with the cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids as well.
After all, they are his kids too.

No.
Well there are stupid voters of both sexes, women are as capable as men as making voting or government descisions. It is stupid to silence 50% of a countries brain trust.
As for pregrancy. Don't knock it!!! I mean, kids are great. Having children is a great thrill for any ordinary couple. This idea of being liberated from that is silly. Even in traditional families, how many kids does the average family have? 2. That means the barefoot and pregnant thing, applies for 18 months out of a life expentancy of 85 years!!!
As for the kitchen. Well, logic says it should depend on the household. The worst arrangement is a "liberated" family where both work and one person (usually the mother) cooks. Arrangements where the least stressed/busy spouse cooks or where they take turns? That kind of makes sense.
Note: Having the vote did not make women go to work. Your history is flawed. My aunt and grandmother voted in every election they were allowed but never worked after they were married. They did however dedicate alot of their lives to outside causes and activities.

Suffrage has not been a mistaken, since it has given more equality.
However, getting the women out of the kitchen has taken away a lot of jobs and caused prices to go up. Not to mention the types of children that are being raised today.
I would like to see either the mother or father take off from work to raise the children.
Better not put all my eggs in that basket.

When were women ever cooking barefoot in the kitchen while pregnant? That sounds like some trashy thing that would happen nowadays. Alot of women did NOT cook before, it seems like cooking became a womans thing somewhere in the 40's.

Women should never have been there in the first place. This was a direct result of oppression caused by patriarchal values in western society. However,I think that your leaving school before graduating from fifth grade was a terrible mistake and maybe you should go back and upgrade so you can become literate.

Suffrage has nothing to do with the traditional view of women in the home. Women have always been politically active and giving them the vote was one of the best things thats happened to the US and the world at large. Truthfully, women have always possessed most of the worlds power and just let the men wield it by proxy. After all, who'd clean up after them, cook for them, and sleep with them if they stopped listening to their women?

Yes, they should, I would love to live like a princess and stay at home and cook while my man works all day. I can't stand career mommies, what's the point of starting a family if both are always working.
