They would be taking a major risk esclating their squabble with Iran to a nuclear strike. Even if they 'only' used bunker-buster type weapons they would immediately turn every country in the Middle East against them forever and encourage the more aggressive states like Syria and Iran to develop their own nuclear capabililty. Escalating the conflict in this way would probably guarantee Israel's eventual destruction as no Middle East state would ever feel able to make a peace agreement with them.
Politically they would also be in serious trouble as they would lose most of their support from the Western powers. They would (or should) also lose their subsidies from the USA as it is ILLEGAL under US law for them to provide federal funds to declared nuclear powers. At the moment everyone knows Israel has nukes but they have never admitted it so they aren't classed as a declared nuclear state.

Why are not you calling for a nuclear strike against North Korea? The Iranians see only precisely why Iraq became invaded and North Korea became not - there became no threat of nuclear retaliation. worldwide places with nuclear weapons do not subject too lots some US invasion. So the lesson is, in case you do not elect to be invaded, it won't be a bad thought to get carry of nuclear weapons. And undergo in techniques, Israel has the bomb. Why would not neighboring worldwide places attempt to strengthen their very own bomb? the US is the only u . s . interior the international to have used atomic weapons. So collectively as you will possibly be able to have confidence that one and all our intentions are good and only, something of the international isn't so helpful. once you're incredibly worried relating to the unfold of nuclear weapons (particularly interior the palms of risky persons), then you definately might desire to push for secular democracy and human rights - not basically affordable hard artwork markets and a pipeline for affordable shopper products.

No, Israel would be shooting themselves in the head if they made a pre emptive nuclear strike against iran, which is why they won't.

I think they might get away with it. They would be using tactical nuclear weapons which would explode deep underground, thus limiting physical, if not political, fallout. The Arab world unfortunately responds only to strength and will expoit any signs of weakness. Let us hope that the leaks about this planned strike by Israel bring Iran's leaders to the negotiating table. Any other course will be fraught with risk.

Hopefully moreso, the wind is able to blow more in the direction of diplomacy in this regard. It is my strong opinion that this is an undertaking already in the works, through many modes of intelligence, and I anticipate good things from the better endeavors of this thinking process, should aid in its spread, like wild-fire.
If this cannot intelligently be accomplished by diplomatic means, we may as well, as a global-community, watch the swirl of water in our massive efforts of peace go down the toilet, and head in an opposite direction, regardless of which side of the equator in peaceful equation you find yourself on, and both being attempted at its reaching. Or is peace just an old wives-tale?
Yes, the sun does set in the west, but the direction of fallout would be more dictated by atmosheric circumstance, as the wind blows where it will. What I would like to see most is for the "winds" which feed these fires of discord changed. And I do believe the winds of change are duly upon us, as a global-community.

You misunderstand the nature of the attack. They would be using battlefield bunker penetrating nuclear devices. Any radiation issues will be localised around an area much smaller than say inner London.
Politically the fallout could be catastrophic. It could trigger at the least a war in the Middle East and possibly widening to a World War!

I am not its fan or something but one things sure ISRAEL is not stupid enough to have a pre-emptive nuclear strike against iran...it could attack its nuclear facility by air strike but not nuclear...that is something big and it would result in change of balance in middleeast and would result in odds against israel as the whole world specially the western world would have 2 re-think about its position in isreal case...

So they sit there,
until Iran sends them a nuclear missile, as they have promised
Israel is telling Iran,
they also have the means to destroy them ,
so if they continue to "point That weapon at them "~~~~
Iran will receive like for like
There can be no winners in a nuclear war.
President Kennedy used the same tactic, (Successfully)
when Russia ,began , to supply Cuba with
nuclear weapons to attack the USA.
