How are living and non-living things related?

please help me with this question i have done some researd on it but havent found much.

Both living and non living things are parts of the same complex cosmic unity. We somehow interact with non living things, sometimes create them, sometimes worship them, however non living things might witness the existence of living beings long after the lifetime of living beings.
