David Gale was inocent. The whole story was a plan that he and his friend (i don't remember the name)made to prove that death penalty wasn't right, and innocent people die because of it.
In the end of the movie, David was killed. So, that reporter showed the videotape and she proved that Davis was innocent, and the system of punishment with death penalty was wrong. After that, she found another videotape that proved to her that the whole story was a plan of David Gale, his friend, and that "cowboy".

okay so she's running to tell every one as David is giving his last requests for his last meal which happens to be the same thing his son requested before the incident with "Berlin". The whole time the reporter is running to tell the media and stop his execution he's walking to the execution room and the media is reporting on his death and how he was considered dead like a 6:04 and she finally reached there like at 6:10. There's reporters asking opinions of the crowed and some answer by saying there glad he was executed and he should burn blah blah blah.Finally like a day later she gets his stuff from the jail and finds a tape in the "cloud dog" she put it in the VCR at work discovers that he knew and was a part of it she's sad and she shows it to the world/media and just proves his point about how the system fails.

well, a lot of people ate popcorn and drank soft drinks. Some had candy and other treats. That couple in the third row kept giggling and touching each other and feet kept sticking to the floor.
