I have floor tile in the bathrooms and entryway and am looking for the best way to clean and seal them. I also have hardwood in the kitchen and am not sure how often to clean it and treat it other than just running a dust mop over it every couple days. The house is new and I would like to keep it looking that way as long as possible!

If the house is new I'm guessing glazed ceramic tile.....not much needed here because the glazing of the tile manufacturing process is essentially a sealer ( non-porous) as for the grout use a good quality grout sealer and spend the money for a good one... you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to this product. Keep applying it until the grout won't soak up any more "coats". This will keep it from soaking up stains. If you have lots of tile in the house I would pay extra attention to the kitchen then baths.... this is where most staining of grout occurs. Be Safe, Have Fun and Good Luck!!

If the tile is new and the grout in clean condition, you should be able to seal it as is. If it is slightly dirty. I would have Stanley steamers do tile and grout cleaning. They may seal also. It will be worth it. They do a great job.

Hardwood floors used to require waxing for protection. I just do not know about the newest type. But I'm sure the level of quality is something to consider.

I would swiffer it most days. Keep any sand or dirt off of it as sand will damage the finish. Damp mop once a week.

Bleach shouldn't ruin the tile but then again I don't know what kind of tile you have. There are grout cleaners at Home Depot or Lowes that should do the trick for you. Sometimes getting a professional to come in and polish the floor is a good idea depending on how much work is involved.
