Take the keyboard off the computer and hide it. A computer isn't any good with out it's keyboard. Make her give you the password, and go back in and make her use the guest account while you become the admin again.

If she is the only other computer user in the household, restrict her use for a while by moving it into a more public location (kitchen, family room etc) or by keeping the keyboard during her punishment time.

Don't give her the new password to your admin account.

What you will need to do is get into the computer and change the password. This site has an easy to use procedure for getting into the computer and changing the password and giving you back the control. Several of my friends have used this to get control of their computer from their children. It really works. You do need to have your XP disk(s). .

Here is the site to get into your computer:

It is now obvious that you need to take control of the computer by making yourself the Administrator and the Limited User. Your daughter should only have a Guest User Account. This will pervent her from taking control and/or changing your setting.

Here are a couple of Microsoft site explaining how to set up the Administrator and Limited User accounts:

Set up Administrator:

Set up Limited User:

Set up Guest User Account: (for your daughter)

yeah, once the password is changed you can't do anything about it. My brother did that when he left for the Air Force, so I was stuck without a computer for a month! do what what guy said, take the cords!! I would... or ground her or something

she must have changed it
if she won't tell you what it is Take the power cords off the computer(secretly put them in your car trunk)
then nobody can use it until she fesses up
she'll crack within a few hours
