If you are asking if I would take my guinea pig to the vet, YES. I believe that if we take on an animal, we are responsible to take care of its health as well.

If you are asking if veterinarians can treat a guinea pig, YES. You may want to phone the vet first to make sure. It would need to be a small animal vet.

Yes, I have six guinea pigs, and they all go to the vet as needed.

The person who said "they usually die anyways" is just not knowledgeable about guinea pigs, sadly. 4 of my 6 have had a serious illness, and because I sought knowledgeable vet care and gave them the proper treatments, they lived and have been fine since.

Any animal you take into your house is YOUR responsibility, including for vet care. If you don't plan on taking it to the vet, why get it?

I have taking my Guinea Pigs to the vet before, I love all my animals and if one is sick then it is my responsiblity to care for them. Of course I take my dogs on a regular basis but if one of the Guinea Pigs is sick I have taking them in to.

Many people do. However the vet usually cant help if it is sick, meds are expencive and the poor guy usually dies anyways. There is no need to take a guinea pig to the vet otherwise.

I have a hamster, and no i don't bring it to the vet. It was cheap enough i would just get another if it got too sick. If you are considered about it... i suppose you should though.. depends how attached you are to the guinea pig

I live in a small town and I had a sick hamster. There are two veterinary places in town, but I had to drive 20 minutes to the next town and pay $65 to have the poor thing diagnosed with a cold lol So, yes, I have taken a small pet to the vet and no, I don't think it's worth it.
