Natural gas does burn cleaner , but, it is a little less efficientbtu 's per cu ft. To convert you need to resize the main orifice, pilot orifice and install a pressure reducing regulator on the gas line hook up to your nat gas line. Most manufacturers do not advise you to do this and it will cancel any warranty your equoipment has. I have done it a thousand times with no problems. Just be sure your orifice is the right size. It should be listed in your owner's manual and there may just be a conversion kit listed there as well
