We 365 and 1/4 day in a year. Since we we only count 365 days for the first 3 years, we then make up for the 3/4 that we missed on the 4th year hence the leap year having 366 days.

365 and a quarter.

This is why there is a leap year every 4 years.

1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 1 day

The times shown are correct, but the explanation of leap years is not.

We have a leap year every four years, except for years divisible by 100. The exception to that is years divisible by 400. So there are 97 leap years every 400 years. The year 1900 was not a leap year even though it's divisible by 4, because it's also divisible by 100. The year 2000 was a leap year even though it's divisible by 100 because it's divisible by 400.

Having 97 leap years every 400 years means you only need a 400-year calendar to know what day of the week it is. Today is Sunday, Jan 7, 2007. Four hundred years from now will be Sunday, Jan 7, 2407. Four hundred thousand years from now will be Sunday, Jan 7, 402007.

That works because the calendar moves one day in a regular year and two days on a leap year. Jan 1 was Monday this year, so Tuesday next year, for instance. 400+97 = 497 days, which is exactly 71 weeks. So in the course of 400 years, the day of the week moves 71 weeks.

365.256 363 051 days. :)

Or 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes, 9 seconds.

(Yes, I modified this part. I was wrong originally.)
That extra 9 minutes and 9 seconds are why, even though we have a leap year every 4 years normally, we don't have a feb 29 in years that end with 00...unless the year itself is also divisible by 4. So 1700, 1800, and 1900 were not leap years, but 2000 was.

And just to keep things in sync, every once in a while they throw in a leap second. ;)

yeah, it's 365 days in one year, u already answered it. so why do u ask? eh, and every four years, they add up 1 day for that year b/c of the earth's revolution.for example, 2004 has 366 days, then four years later,. which is 2008, it will be another 366 days. TIP: the 366-days-year will be the year that is divisible by 4.

365 days in one year except the years that can be divided by 4 without a remainder.
366 days in the years that can be divided by 4 without a remainder such as the year 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 etc...
