Does anyone else watch a sad movie and cries in the end, and all of a sudden you get depressed for about a day?

I think that is part of human nature for many of us. We can empathize with situations that really have nothing to do with us. It is why we contribute to charitable organizations, help homeless people, volunteer, etc. Emotion is one factor that makes us human. Allow yourself to feel your emotions. If your sadness lasts only a day, that is ok. To help take you out of it, see if there is something you can do to help someone else. That usually helps me. Best of luck.

My wife won't watch really sad movies because of this...she says movies are for entertainment not to depress you. My advise is to do what she does and stop watching sad, depressing movies and opt for something funny or that makes you feel good.

yes, that happens to me with sad books and movies. but to be honest, theres no other way for me to get over it than to just give it time. like i read a book the other day called "things change", and its about this abusive boyfriend who never changes and keeps beating girls:(

umm i dont really cry..but i feel kinda sad for a minute or two then i tell..hey its a movie afterall...a good one that too .
Just dont take it personally after the movie ends.

Quit watching them. Watch something that will make you happy.
