We are mostly conditioned to believe in ugliness and beauty.
You can take someone regarded as beautiful in every usual sense...put braces on their teeth and an unfashionable hairdo and they are ugly all of a sudden.
In fact most of these judgements are highly superficial.
Blond hair is the greatest con. In fact, if you dyed Pamela Anderson's hair brown, no one would give her a second look if she walked down the street.. Her face is plain and her body is unexceptional unless you count the overpowering focus on her breasts!
This is true of most of the manufactured for teenage boys sex dolls.
So there is no time between the two stages because the whole idea is a social construct. The ugliest thing I have ever seen in a woman was that I couldn't tell what she would look like without make-up. Ugly and a bit frightening.

I don't watch tv too much but I think ugly starts with attitude. If someone doesn't have a respectful attitude, no matter how beautiful they are, I don't think they are beautiful. Their outer image fades with the sound of their rude comments and ways.

People naturaly want to be with people that look healthy. It really is an instinct people have had since way, way back. You naturally will not want to look at/spend time with someone that appears to be "unhealthy." Without thinking about it your brain judges people in this way. That is why fat people, acne covered people, mis-proportioned people are usually not considered beautiful. Look at all the models::: they are in shape, slender, pretty tall, good skin, they appear healthy.

Beauty comes from within.Confidence plays a big part too. Everyone has different views on what is beautiful, skinny/fat, tall/small,dark/blonde...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Love comes into it too. Love Is Blind!

I don't think she is ugly either. You can see she is quite beautiful especially her lovely hair. Uniqueness is the most beautiful thing in the world.

People look for things considered as imperfections i.e glasses, spots, braces - all things that have a negative view in society. When grouped together people then view them as ugly. Sad really isn't it?
