Lightning Crashes by Live. It was very popular at the time I was preparing for the birth of my first child. I couldn't (and still can't) watch the video or hear the song without getting teary or sometimes out and out weeping. It's beautiful. And more recently "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. It's lyrics are the words I wish I could say to the guy I've been crushing on for months...they are beautiful lyrics, very simple and very heartfelt.

Before Chasing Cars was ever on MTV, I remember listening to it and crying for the rest of the day. I hope I'll remember that song for the rest of my life, it's something special to me, and I flinch when someone says "Oh! I like that song!" because I want it to be MY song forever. Just mine. And I want it to be special always. I'm truly scared of someone else claiming it as "theirs".

Snow Patrol is amazing.

Total Control by the Motels. It was playing the first time the love of my life and I were "together". After soon to be 23 years of marriage, it's still special.

the song Sooner or Later by Michael Tolcher. It is all types of advice that my cousins, who are all older than me, used to give me when i was younger. Now I don't always get to see them because they live all around the country so when i hear the song it makes me think of the good times we had together
