At the moment I'd try:
................James....................
Neville Terry Ferdinand ACole
.............Hargreaves...............
..Gerrard...............JCole........
...............Walcott.................
........Rooney....Crouch.............
Subs: Kirkland, Carragher, Lampard, Owen and the rest from:
Jagielka, Bentley, Campbell, Matt Taylor, Paul Robinson, Ashton, Defoe, AJohnson, Barry, Bent, Pennant, Lennon, Carrick, Nolan, etc..
At the moment, Lampard is playing very very poorly for England and I think a few games out could help him. Walcott has never been tried for England and should get a go in more or a supportive job like he does for Arsenal. Not a goalscorer but a goal provider.
I'd look to get as many of the players in the list at the bottom out for friendlies and see how they do. Some players will play better for thier countries and some will play worse (like Lampard does). We need to see who can cut it and who cant because how do we know that Nolan, for example, wouldn't be amazing playing for England if he's never had a go.
The England team seems afraid to make changes and give new players a chance. This was part of the problem of the last world cup...

Er...Jason Robinson? And you forgot David james and the recent recall of Emille Heskey, too. There are a number of reasons behind this - socio-economic, traditional, cultural, etc. However, the most significant one is that blacks tend to have more type 2a fast twitch muscle fibres than whites (taken as an average), so are better suited to football which requires more sprinting. Rugby - although requiring large muscle bulk in some areas - is played at a more uniform and constant pace, suiting athletes with better muscular endurance rather than all out power - which would be found in larger numbers of whites than blacks. That's why the Argentinians couldn't catch Habana tonight! That's also why you get more black sprinters over 100 and 200 metres, but a lot more spread of ethnicity at 400 and 800m, too.

get rid of beckham he was just a dead wait the rest of the team had to carry.Probably put lennon in his place. ye could do with another centre forward but really all the england team needs is a kick up the ****. On paper ye have one of the stongest squads in the world but just can't seem to do it on the pitch. I think maybe the england squad needs to get a bit humble and not believe everything that the papers hype about them and then you might see some hunger back in the squad and some trophies
