Theres been a lot of talk about our geographic literacy. A lot of us cant point out Louisiana on a map even after Katrina. Heres a few questions to test your geographic knowledge.

I am not very well versed in geography, but what benefit would I get from having that? I am an engineer not a historian or a reporter. I think people should first worry about learning to spell and speak (not you) before they bother learning esoteric geographical information that can just be looked up. What if I said everyone needs to learn how to do integral calculus? It isn't pertinent to daily life.

BTW... every one specializes in different areas, math, science, social science... your questions are not basic so really they would prove nothing if no one knew them. China and Mexico seemed obvious to me and France I took French.
